When sparkling white fields are spread all over charming Meltina
and nature starts its winter rest, WE are not resting ...
… on the contrary: South Tyrol in winter is the ideal place for all winter sports enthusiasts. And as we are promoting a gentle way of tourism, we will bring you to all the numerous ski lifts and gondolas nearby.
Snowshoeing:
(Almost) everybody can go snowshoeing, provided you have a certain amount of endurance and physical fitness. You should, however, choose a tour according to your physical skills.
Cross-country skiing:
The snow-covered fields of our charming Salto plateau create the ideal surroundings for all cross-country enthusiasts. Numerous mountain huts and inns are waiting to be discovered, providing you with delicious snacks and dishes.
Tobogganing:
Besides the Bachwies World Cup tobogganing track in Frassineto, the charming village of Meltina also boasts a track ideally-suited to beginners and families. Just ask for a mountain hut called "Sattler Hütter"!
The near-by sport area offers, moreover, an ideal possibility to practice ice skating and curling. And what about a romantic trip on a horse-drawn carriage?
